Cuban Salsa is an ever evolving street style, sexy, sensual, funky, and

FUN! FUN! FUN!

There is more to dancing Salsa than just learning steps!

Yarima will get your whole body involved, body movement is the key to Cuban Salsa style. Most importantly Yarima will teach you timing, how to feel the beat and understand Cuban rhythms.

As Australia’s only professional female Cuban trained Dance Teacher and Performer, Yarima offers unique tuition in a range of Cuban styles:

• CUBAN SALSA - also known as Casino. Cuban Salsa is danced with a partner in circular patterns, with intertwining arms, turn patterns and total body involvement.

• RUEDA - Salsa danced in a circle amongst a group of dancers, responding to calls and changing partners, with the aim of syncronising the moves so that all dancers move as one. Building from simple to ever more complex Salsa moves and sequences, Rueda is a great way to build knowledge and a full understanding of Cuban Salsa.

• REGGAETON - moving and shaking everything your mama gave you, hot and sexy; Reggaeton will stretch you beyond what you thought possible, building muscle control and showing you new and inventive ways to respond to the music.

• RUMBA – with it’s roots in Africa, Cuban Rumba is an expression of this islands’ Afro-Cuban folkloric traditions. For couples it is Guaguanco, a flirtatious and provocative game of ‘tag’. For the men it is ‘Columbia’, a competitive display of the mans style, grace, athleticism and virility.

• SON - before Salsa there was Son. An elegant dance style using different timing and body movement to Salsa, that can be danced to Salsa, Rumba and ChaChaCha rhythms.

• BODY MOVEMENT - want to look like a Cuban when you dance? It’s all about Body Movement! Learn to isolate and move you body parts independently and in time to the music. The results will improve your dancing, your fitness and your body image. HOT!
